Doing Gender in Written Material and Text Books

First some important criteria and questions toward gaining more gender justice in RE books are presented.
Then two examples are provided: the first focuses on girls’ voices, the second on gender roles by analyzing the representation of Abraham and Sara.
Finally conclusions are drawn and special challenges for the future are identified.
